Sited near the sea, this
cave was believed to be the head of Basuki dragon which was
manifestation of Wisnu god. It was then, Bali island was in draught, god
Wisnu was sent to give rain and fertility to the land. Wisnu then change
to be Basuki dragon and lay down. His tail in Mount Agung and his head
towards the sea. He blown his hot breath towards the sea and made the
sea water evaporate. The evaporated sea water then accumulate and become
clouds. Together with the wind, the clouds were flown to the mountains
and the rain then falls. The believer then understand that they have to
keep the world, the nature in balance. They then built a place to
worshipped Maheswara god, who believed to be god who teach on how to
build building, place to worship (Parahyangan), human being and land.
